Institutional Impact
As the architect of a reimagined post-pandemic Centre for Teaching and Learning, I unified eLearning and teaching development into a central hub for scholarly and pedagogical growth. I built foundational structures to expand institutional capacity and positioned the Centre as a strategic partner for educational leadership.
By redefining team roles and aligning professional development with institutional priorities, I enabled career growth and amplified the Centre’s ability to lead change. What was once a support unit became a dynamic, scholarly team driving momentum and institutional innovation.
Key initiatives include:
Launching Canada’s first open-access SoTL journal focused on undergraduate education
Developing a strategic direction for institutional teaching awards
Leading academic change during an LMS migration
Hosting national events, including the inaugural Canadian Educational Developers Symposium
Gaining national and international recognition for the Centre’s scholarly contributions
