Institutional Impact

As the architect of a reimagined post-pandemic Centre for Teaching and Learning, I unified eLearning and teaching development into a central hub for scholarly and pedagogical growth. I built foundational structures to expand institutional capacity and positioned the Centre as a strategic partner for educational leadership.

By redefining team roles and aligning professional development with institutional priorities, I enabled career growth and amplified the Centre’s ability to lead change. What was once a support unit became a dynamic, scholarly team driving momentum and institutional innovation.

Key initiatives include:

  • Launching Canada’s first open-access SoTL journal focused on undergraduate education

  • Developing a strategic direction for institutional teaching awards

  • Leading academic change during an LMS migration

  • Hosting national events, including the inaugural Canadian Educational Developers Symposium

  • Gaining national and international recognition for the Centre’s scholarly contributions
